Takahiro Uchida, MD, PhD, MSc

Dr. Takahiro Uchida is a distinguished medical professional with a rich background in cardiology, clinical research, and medical device development. His career spans roles such as Medical Officer at the FDA, where he contributed to the Harmonization by Doing project, and Director of Clinical Research at Boston Scientific Corporation, where he oversaw interventional cardiology projects and achieved significant milestones like the rapid approval of TAXUS Liberte and the successful execution of the PLATINUM clinical trial program.

Holding an M.D. from Fukushima Medical University and a Ph.D. in Medicine from Tokyo Women’s Medical University, Dr. Uchida has furthered his education with a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health and an executive program at Harvard Business School. His expertise is recognized internationally, with board certifications and fellowships from the American College of Cardiology and the Japanese Circulation Society.
